The top cosmetic companies use about 7.5 million plastic containers a year.
But a new survey by The Wall St. Journal finds that the most common plastics used to make cosmetic containers are used in some of the companies’ most profitable products.
Plastic containers are the primary container for most cosmetic products, but they are also the most commonly used for the top cosmetics brands, such as L’Oreal, Benefit and Estee Lauder, according to a new study.
These brands have a $15 billion-a-year business, according a study by research firm Lux Research.
These companies also have some of their highest profit margins.
But as consumers shift to plastic containers, plastic containers are being increasingly used by more companies, according the study.
The new study examined how plastic containers were used by cosmetics companies, as well as the most and least-used plastic containers by the top brands.
In some cases, these companies used more plastic containers than other brands, Lux Research found.
But some of these companies also used fewer containers than others.
For example, L’Oréal used 2.4 million plastic bottles, while the more popular Benefit used just 1.9 million plastic bags.
And while Benefit’s containers were the least-needed, LVMH and Estée Lauder used 2,000 plastic containers each.
The findings come after several other studies have found that plastic containers contribute to a variety of environmental and health risks.
For instance, a 2015 study by the Environmental Protection Agency found that more than half of plastic bottles are reused in the U.S. and are contributing to the plastic-bottle-based plastic pollution that pollutes waterways and lands.
