‘Tiger Woods is our first victim’


New York magazine has revealed that Tiger Woods has been the victim of a “cyberattack” on his brand.

The magazine revealed that the golfer had been the target of a phishing scam which used the name “tigerwoods”, which has since been taken down.

The article said the fraudster had used a fake email address to contact Woods.

A spokesperson for Tiger Woods confirmed the story and said: “Tiger’s brand was the target in a phish that used a brand name associated with Tiger Woods.”

The company said it is investigating the matter and has removed the brand from its website.

Tiger Woods was targeted in a scam that used the “tourist” name “Tigertown” to trick people into clicking on links to the fake site.
